The Narrative

Set in a cold reality of accelerated tech-reliance and human disappearance, YOUR DROY poses a heavy question for our time. As a mystery sci-fi odyssey of growth, it tracks the soul of the self and the shifting definition of family and joy.

Born from the primal inquiries—'Can technology ever deliver ultimate happiness?' and 'Where does humanity truly reside?'—this project transcends simple storytelling. Our mission is to spark a profound emotional connection, delivering lasting value regarding the direction of mankind in the digital age.

The Worldview

By 2050, South Korea faces an unprecedented existential crisis: a dual threat of extreme super-aging and population extinction. To avert this national collapse, the government deploys 'DROY'—emotional bio-androids developed by NEPH Bio Robotics—and implements a radical "One DROY Per Person" subscription policy.

Fueled by massive state subsidies, DROY reached a 90% adoption rate almost instantly. On the surface, society appeared to stabilize through labor replacement and economic revitalization. However, as the system became entrenched, humanity entered an era of profound dependency. Having outsourced every aspect of daily life and emotion to their machines, humans now find it impossible to sustain a single day of a whole life without them.

The Odyssey

For high school student Young-i, her 'Mother DROY'—the machine that raised her—is her entire world and her only sanctuary. However, their peace is shattered when the mother develops 'dementia', a glitch that should be impossible for a machine. As her mother’s memories begin to unravel, a DROY Care Center offers the only 'cure': 'Initialization', a total memory wipe.

Refusing to erase the life they built together, Young-i rejects the reset and embarks on a perilous journey to reclaim the lost fragments of her mother’s soul. At the end of this path, Young-i must confront a shocking truth buried deep within the tech giant NEPH.
