Overview
jojoon productions spearheaded the scenario and storytelling for the brand webtoon introducing the tokenomics of NEXPACE's next-generation blockchain ecosystem, 'MapleStory Universe (MSU).' We masterfully blended the potentially rigid concepts of blockchain and virtual economic systems into the uniquely familiar world of MapleStory, designing it so that users and investors worldwide could intuitively grasp the ecosystem's vision.
Challenges & Approach
The greatest challenge was embedding the complex Web3 concepts of 'Reward (Tokenomics)' and 'Sharing (Ecosystem)' into the story. Breaking away from simply listing information, we framed the creation and circulation of items, along with how user contributions translate into value, as a cohesive 'journey.' While honoring MapleStory's rich heritage, we constructed a storyline that allows anyone to fully immerse themselves in the new paradigm of 'decentralization' without facing technical barriers.
The result
The webtoon was selected as the primary onboarding content for the official MapleStory Universe website and launched to a global audience. By translating complex economic logic into a seamless narrative, it has been praised as 'the clearest and most accessible explanation of a Web3 ecosystem.' It currently serves as a core branding asset, actively spreading MSU's vision of a 'sustainable gaming ecosystem.'
